"In the summer of 2013 15 tracks were leaked onto the internet that were alleged to have been The Mars Volta leaks. While the file names had been changed, the majority of these tracks have now been released, identified, or adequate guesses have been made as to their origin or placement in the timeline of The Mars Volta and Omar’s solo releases. Shortly after Sonny Kay released an artwork for this release. Cedric jokingly referred to it as the Ramrod tapes.
01. ,14 – This was an outtake from Noctourniquet. Per Elvin Estela the song was called ‘In the Vulpine Clouds’. An instrumental version was played live by the Omar Rodriguez-Lopez group in the Spring/Summer 2011 tour after Cedric left the tour due to illness.
02. 98d87 – This an early demo of Molochwalker. Thomas Pridgen is playing drums on this take. This could indicate that the track was originally intended for Octahedron, The Bedlam in Goliath, or a different project.
03. cmv8 – This an instrumental demo of Sea is Rising that is heard on Unicorn Skeleton Mask and What’s Left in You on Zapopan. It is missing the arpeggiated synth from those two renditions.
04. dp – This is an instrumental take of El Vacio and Piojos Histericos from Arañas en la Sombra. The mix is considerably different compared to the renditions from Arañas en la Sombra.
05. ef4 –This is an instrumental rendition of Truth Blinds Us from Cell Phone Bikini. It is missing the arpeggiated synth and the mix is different. The drum take sounds different as well.
06. eog-3 – This is an outtake from Noctourniquet. Per Elvin Estela the song is called Aneidolon.
07. f39h – This is an instrumental take of Un Mar Amargo and Metamorfosis from Arañas en la Sombra. The mix is considerably different.
08. f9h0 – This is an instrumental take of Casate Colmillo from The Somnabulists and Extravagants Dientes from Arañas en la Sombra. The mix is also considerably different from Extravagants Dientes.
09. k49 – This is a The Mars Volta outtake. It is likely an outtake from Octahedron. Thomas Pridgen is playing the drums which dates the song from 2007-2009.
10. pi4 – This is an instrumental take of Happiness from Unicorn Skeleton Mask and Reap The Roots, Tandem Happiness, and Fielding Souls from Zapopan. The mix is different and there are missing bits of electronic ambiance.
11. qr5′ – This is an instrumental take of Primitivo Y Barbaro and Semilas De Hez. The mix is significantly different. There are some missing guitar overdubs as well.
12. s[fqw – This is an earlier demo of ,14. Thomas Pridgen is playing drums. This dates the recording from 2007-2009.
13. xv8 – This is an instrumental version of. Asco Que Conmueve los Puntos Erógenos. When played live in 2009 by the Omar Rodriguez-Lopez group it was titled New York City.
14. y2g – This is a demo take of Vicarious Atonement.
15. ytj6 – This is an earlier demo of ,14 and s[fqw. "
